Queen Rania Joins Madrasati Ramadan Activities

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department- Jerash) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Aleimoun Elementary School for Boys in Jerash on Sunday to check on the different Madrasati initiative Ramadan community activities in the school. The school was chosen to host the activities due to its central location to gather students from across the governorate and allow access to as many community members as possible.

Queen Rania Visits Orphans at Mabarrat Um Al Hussein

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah made a visit to Mabarrat Um Al Hussein orphanage today in Amman, where she met with groups of orphans, caregivers and Al Aman Fund beneficiaries and applicants. Chaired by HRH Princess Basma Bint Talal, Mabarrat Um Al Hussein was founded in 1958, by Her late Majesty Queen Zain Al Sharaf.

Queen Rania Visits Women’s Association in Marj Al Hamam

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department- Amman) –Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah made a visit to Marj Al Hamam Sunday, visiting the local women’s association and visiting local shops and businesses.

Upon Her arrival at Marj Al Hamam Women’s Association, Her Majesty was received by Mrs. Maha Habraq, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mrs. Nisreen Daghmas, Director of the Association.

The Queen toured the association’s facilities, including the tailor’s shop and the beauty Salon.

Queen Rania Checks on Diabetes Awareness Program in Naour During Second Day of Ramadan

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah made a visit to the Naour Health Center in Amman today to check up on the Global Micro-Clinic Program (GMCP) for diabetes awareness. The program, designed by the Global Micro-Clinic Organization, is being implemented across the kingdom by the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.

Queen Rania Met Today with a Volunteer Group Involved in a Ramadan-related Initiative

(Office of Her Majesty- Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania met today a group of volunteers running a Ramadan initiative whereby they distribute water and dates along the roads at sunset to people on their way home.

During the meeting, the volunteers briefed Her Majesty about their initiative, which was first launched in 2006. The initiative goes under the name of “Tasbeeret May Wa Tamr”, translated as: A little bit of water and dates, and has since 2006 grown substantially.

Queen Rania Visits Russaifeh, Checks on a Madrasati School and Volunteers

 

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Tamador Bint Amer Secondary School for Girls in Russaifeh today and witnessed the renovation and extra-curricular activities taking place during the holy month of Ramadan.

During the visit Her Majesty met with several Madrasati volunteers, who briefed Her about the activities they conduct at the school both in Ramadan and throughout the year, as well as the impact volunteering has had on their lives.

Queen Rania Adopts Four Schools in the Kingdom

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Sweileh) The sounds of creeks and crackles of rusted steel and poor infrastructure at the Khawla Bint Tha’laba Primary School in Sweileh will soon be muffled thanks to a surprise visit by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, where the Queen announced that she will be adopting the school, along with three others she has recently visited.

Queen Rania Pays Surprise Visit to Downtown Market

(Jordan Times – Press Department – Amman) - Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday paid a surprise visit downtown to get a firsthand idea about Ramadan markets and check on the welfare of citizens during the holy month.

During yesterday’s visit, Queen Rania toured Souq Al Sukkar, one of the oldest markets in the capital, where a variety of merchandise is for sale.

Jordanians from all walks of life usually converge on this market due to its central location, varied fare and moderate prices.

Queen Rania Reunites Mother and Son After 25 Years

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) In a gesture that moved Jordan to tears, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah personally intervened to reunite a mother and her son wrenched apart for over 25 years. After hearing the story earlier this week, Queen Rania took it upon herself to secure a family reunion.
