Queen Rania Visits Homecare Center for the Elderly at Al Asirra Al Bayda's Society

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department-Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited today the elderly homecare center at Al Asirra Al Bayda’a Society and met with volunteers from the Jordan Volunteers group who provide psychological, social and medical services to the elderly.

In the meeting, which was also attended by board members of the society, Queen Rania listened to a brief about the services they provide, as well as the challenges they face.

Queen Rania Checks Up on QRTA Projects in the South

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Al Karak) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to Queen Zain Al Sharaf School for Girls in Karak today, where she met with teachers, trainers and administrators of the Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA). The meetings focused on QRTA’s work in the south, and their programs that benefit teachers across the kingdom.

Queen Rania Celebrates Mother's Day at SOS Amman Village

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to the SOS Amman Village today, where she celebrated mother’s day with children and their caregivers in the village. The Queen joined kindergarten students in making festive Mother’s Day greeting cards, and watched part of a their song and dance show.

Her Majesty also met with all caregivers and “mothers” from the village, and commended them on their honorable role in providing orphaned children with a family atmosphere, thus allowing them to prosper and reach their potential.

Queen Rania Visits the Children’s Museum of Jordan with a Group of Orphans

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - Her Majesty Queen Rania accompanied a group of 450 young orphans on a visit to the Children’s Museum of Jordan (CMJ) to mark the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Museum and the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) allowing beneficiaries of all NGOs registered with the Ministry free entry into the museum and its exhibitions.

Queen Rania Meets with the U.S. Department of State Entrepreneurship Delegation

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania met today with the U.S. Department of State Entrepreneurship Delegation, at the end of their 4 day visit to the kingdom.

The delegation, which consists of leading U.S. venture capital investors, entrepreneurs and pioneers, has been meeting with several Jordanian entrepreneurs, investors, educators and government officials to share expertise and learn about the economic and entrepreneurial environment in Jordan.

Queen Rania Visits “Save the Children’s” Khatawat Program

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited the Parent Child Center at Abu Bakr Al Seddiek Park in Khraibet El Souq. The center operates as part of the “Khatawat” (Steps) program by “Save the Children”. During the visit Her Majesty was briefed about the different services that the center offers to children of the local community and was updated on Save the Children’s “Khatawat” Program.

Queen Rania Visits Russaifeh, Checks on a Madrasati School and Volunteers

 

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Tamador Bint Amer Secondary School for Girls in Russaifeh today and witnessed the renovation and extra-curricular activities taking place during the holy month of Ramadan.

During the visit Her Majesty met with several Madrasati volunteers, who briefed Her about the activities they conduct at the school both in Ramadan and throughout the year, as well as the impact volunteering has had on their lives.

Queen Rania Visits Zaha Cultural Center, Meets with Children and Tours Its New Extension

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania paid a visit to the Zaha Cultural Center in Amman today. During the visit, Her Majesty read excerpts to the children, from Her New York Times’ best-seller children’s picture book “the Sandwich Swap”, titled “Salma & Lily” in Arabic in the center’s library.

After “story time”, Her Majesty distributed copies of Salma & Lily to the children, who were ecstatic to see and hear Her Majesty reading the story to them.

Queen Rania invites excelling students to opening of 14th Parliament

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Highlighting the important role of youth in building their societies, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah invited excelling students to accompany her to the opening of the 14th Parliament's first ordinary session.

Queen Rania Inaugurates Public Library and Drops In on Women's Associations in Ruweished

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Rweished) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Al Ruweished today where she inaugurated the Municipality Library and visited the Ruweished Association for Women headquarters.

At the women’s Association, Queen Rania was briefed by Ms. Intisar Al- Asi, the Association’s Director, about future plans to develop the piece of land within the association campus into a park that will benefit the women and children in the area.
