A Group of Arab Students Presents Queen Rania with a Message to the Youth of the World

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - In a gesture of outreach to the world's youth and in recognition of the common human values that bind us as a 'global family', a group of Arab youth, on Tuesday, presented Her Majesty with a message in a bottle to carry through to the youth of the world.

In the UK, the median age is roughly 40 years old. In the US, it is 35. In Jordan, it is 23.5. With almost 40 per cent of Jordan’s population under the age of 15, creating employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for its youth is an urgent, constant challenge.

One innovative organisation, Injaz, is meeting this challenge head on. Injaz, which means “achievement” in Arabic, aims to inspire and prepare Jordanian youth to compete in the global economy.

The program's success has taken it throughout the region, and Thursday evening, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah joined members of the Kuwaiti royal family, government representatives and leading executives in lauding the successful expansion as Injaz was launched in Kuwait.

On a one-day working visit to Kuwait, Queen Rania chaired the second meeting of the AOU’s Board of Trustees, with the participation of Her Highness Sheikha Majida Al-Jaber Al Sabbah, His Highness Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, Kuwaiti Minister of Higher Education Dr. Rashid Al-Hamad and AOU President Dr. Munther Salah.

Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania in Kuwait

(Royal Hashemite Court, Communication & Information Division - Amman) Jordan and Kuwait on Sunday called for the resumption of the Middle East peace process and urged the international community to continue aiding the Palestinians.

His Majesty King Abdullah and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah said at a Dar Al Salwa meeting here dialogue and negotiations should lead to the implementation of the roadmap and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
