(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Paris) Accompanied by six Jordanian high school students, Her Majesty Queen Rania began a two-day working visit to France aimed at enhancing cultural and educational ties between Jordan and the French Republic.
 
 The 14-16 year old students who are learning the French language as part of their high school education in public schools across Jordan, accompanied the Queen on a visit to La Cite Des Sciences, one of the largest and most visited science and technology museums in the world.
 

(IOF, By Paul Spencer Sochaczewski - ROME) Jordan's Queen Rania was awarded a prestigious Life Achievement Award in recognition of her "international patronage of the IOF and for her voluntary work for the international cause of osteoporosis."

Queen Rania is patron of IOF-International Osteoporosis Foundation. "We are very proud that our patron is given this award," notes Professor Pierre D. Delmas, president of the IOF.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah returned to Amman following a two-day working visit to Cairo, in which she met with Egypt's First Lady Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, as well as a number of Egyptian female officials and experts in the fields of child welfare and women's affairs.

The Queen's trip also included a visit to the Mubarak Public Library and a media and production facilities center, as well as a lunch hosted in honor of Her Majesty by Mrs. Mubarak.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - NEW YORK) On a two-day working visit to the United States, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah underscored the importance of a renewed global commitment to children based on a realistic assessment of past efforts for children's rights and well-being.

Addressing the third preparatory meeting for the United Nations General Assembly Special Session for Children in New York, Queen Rania called for building future efforts on the lessons of the past.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - AMMAN) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah visited local community organizations in the Governorate of Madaba, and was briefed on various development efforts that go hand-in-hand with her initiatives meeting the needs and aspirations of the Jordanian citizen.

The Queen's first stop was the Madaba Secondary School for Girls, where she inspected its recently-built computer laboratory.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania chaired a meeting of the Higher National Committee for Amman Culture Capital of the Arab World for the Year 2002, in which the proposed activities and programs of the one-year event were discussed.

Queen Rania, who heads the Higher Committee, was briefed on the work done in preparation for the cultural event and approved some of the programs, which include special activities for children.

وكانت جلالتها وصلت إلى روما صباح اليوم في إطار الزيارة الرسمية التي يقوم بها جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني لإيطاليا.

وتسلمت جلالتها الجائزة في احتفال خاص أقيم ظهر اليوم بمقر البرلمان الإيطالي في روما حضره كبار المسؤولين في الحكومة الإيطالية والبرلمان.

 القاهرة - أكدت جلالة الملكة رانيا العبدالله في كلمة ألقتها في الجامعة الأمريكية في القاهرة بمناسبة بداية النصف الثاني من العام الدراسي أن الإبداع والعمل الفاعل يشكلان الطريق إلى الإنجاز والنجاح في عصر العولمة الذي فتح أمام الفكر المبدع أفاقاً لم تكن موجودة في الماضي.
ودعت جلالتها إلى الإفادة من الطرق التي توفرها العولمة للإبداع والعمل الفاعل والتي أصبحت متطلبات رئيسية للنجاح إضافة إلى الإخلاص والعمل الجاد.

نيويورك - أكدت جلالة الملكة رانيا العبدالله على أهمية تجديد الالتزام العالمي تجاه الأطفال المبني على تقييم واقعي للجهود الماضية تجاه حقوق الأطفال ورعايتهم.

ودعت جلالتها خلال كلمة ألقتها أمام الاجتماع التمهيدي لجلسة الجمعية العامة للأمم الخاصة بحقوق الطفل في نيويورك اليوم إلى بناء جهود مستقبلية مستقاة من دروس وعبر الماضي.

روما - إيماناً من جلالة الملكة رانيا العبدالله بأهمية التواصل مع الجاليات العربية والإسلامية في بلاد المهجر قامت جلالتها اليوم بزيارة إلى المركز الإسلامي والثقافي في روما.

والتقت جلالة الملكة رانيا مع رئيس وأعضاء مجلس إدارة المركز واستمعت لشرح حول نشاطات المركز في المجالات الثقافية والتوعوية ودوره بخدمة الجالية الإسلامية وفي حوار الأديان.
