Queen Rania Says Sustainaibility Affects Perspective on Others at WEF

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department, Dead Sea) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, on Saturday, called for a renewed commitment to sustainability and innovative solutions to the challenges facing the Arab region during a session held at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in the Dead Sea.

“Sustainability is about meeting the needs of today’s generation without denying tomorrow’s generation the ability to meet theirs- in the economic, social and environmental spheres,” stated Queen Rania in an opening address at WEF’s “Sustainability in the Middle East” session.

Queen Rania Participates in WEF Sharm El-Sheikh

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Sharm El-Sheikh) At the closing ceremony of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah joined WEF Founder, Klaus Schwab, on Monday, in a one-on-one discussion, highlighting the need for a greater role for the private sector in socioeconomic development, a genuine integration of women, and the need for positive impact by Arab youth in global discourse. Her Majesty concluded by welcoming participants back to the WEF home base of the Dead Sea, Jordan for next year's forum.
 

Queen Rania Gives the Concept of Youth a Facelift

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) A youthful spirit lies within us all. To reveal it, all we need to do is look within ourselves and reinvigorate how we view the world. This was the message behind Her Majesty Queen Rania’s opening remarks at the ¨Youth and Entrepreneurship¨ session of the World Economic Forum, on Saturday.

“My point is, the most precious aspects of youth are not tied to ages or stages.  Preserving them doesn’t mean clinging to the past – it means embracing the future,” Queen Rania said.

Queen Rania Launches an Interactive Dialogue Between Arab and Western Women

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Davos) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah launched an interactive dialogue between Arab and Western Women urging them to carry forward a spirit of communication and to engage in intercultural exchanges as a vital step towards building trust between each other.

The dialogue, held under the theme Arab and Western Women – Building Trust Together," was organized as part of the 33rd Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) taking place in Davos, Switzerland.

Queen Rania Participates in a Panel Discussion Organized by the Women's Leadership Initiative in New York

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - New York) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah highlighted the importance of role models for Arab women, and also reaffirmed the significance of education in dispelling misconceptions about women's rights in Islam.

As part of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in New York, Queen Rania participated in a panel discussion organized by the Women's Leadership Initiative.

She also attended the launch of the NetAid World Schoolhouse program, which aims to bring quality education to the world's poorest children.

Queen Rania and Media Leaders Reiterate the Need for Strategic Media to Promote Arab Women Issues

With this theme, opinion leaders from the media and civil society organizations, on Saturday, joined Her Majesty Queen Rania in a lively panel discussion on the important role the media should play in shaping the future reality of the Arab world.
