Thank you, Nermin, for those kind words – and, more importantly, for all you do as president of the Mosaic Foundation. Over the past eight years, the Mosaic Foundation has played an inspiring role – not only in lifting the lives of women and children around the world… but in showing how much Arab women can do, individually and collectively. Tonight’s magnificent gala is just the latest proof of your leadership.

I would also like to thank Laura Bush for honoring us with her support… and for her lifetime of service on behalf of children, literacy and education.

It’s great to be celebrating Earth Day with so many inspiring leaders…so many ambassadors of hope and goodwill in places around the globe.

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Washington, D.C.) - As Founder and Chairperson of the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah did not miss the opportunity to highlight the foundation’s achievements to a gathering of influential women in Washington, DC, on Monday, where she discussed many of the foundations specific initiatives and encouraged their involvement.

On the final day of her visit, Queen Rania inaugurated "Exploring Jordan", which includes a number of cultural and economic events highlighting Jordan’s heritage and economic potential as a gateway to doing business throughout the entire Middle East.
