(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) The Jordan River Foundation (JRF), on Sunday, presented Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah with a five-year strategic plan for its activities related to child safety and prevention of abuse.

Over the past few years, Queen Rania spearheaded efforts to raise awareness on the issue of child safety, bringing it to the forefront of national policy agendas in an effort to promote a culture of prevention that addresses the Jordanian community at large.

Queen Rania Takes Part in International Conference on Child Abuse

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) Lauding the progress of the Child Helpline International (CHI), Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah advocated wider outreach to all children in need, at the fourth annual CHI Consultation Conference, in Amman, Monday.

Patronizing the first CHI conference held outside of Europe, Her Majesty thanked the attendees for recognizing Jordan as an example of a developing country dedicated to ending the misery of child abuse.

Queen Rania Attends Gathering in Support of Children's Safety and Rights

(Jordan Times, Press Department - Amman) More than 200 Amman residents of all ages on Wednesday expressed their rejection of violence against children and called for stricter laws to protect them from abuse.

During a gathering organised by the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) at the Greater Amman Municipality square, people from different walks of life mourned the death of Yazan and Qusai, two recent victims of child abuse.

Queen Rania Calls for an Emergency Meeting to Discuss Child Abuse Cases

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department-Amman) “There are no excuses to justify the death of a child,” said Her Majesty Queen Rania on Sunday during an emergency meeting following the tragic incidents which marked the death of Yazan and Qusai, two recent victims of child abuse.

Her Majesty voiced disappointment in the recent development, highlighting that years ago Jordan was the leader in shedding light on child abuse in the region. “Today we have failed where we were once pioneers,” she pointed out.
