(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) –Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met today with the board of directors of the CUMERCUniversity Middle East Research Center (CUMERC), at its headquarters in Amman.

The board meeting which was attended by Lee C. Bollinger, President of Columbia University, focused on CUMERC’s strategy and programmes for the upcoming year and their accomplishments to date.

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah dropped in on a part of the “Enabling Communities through Enterprise Development” course at the Institute for Sustainable Development Practice (ISDP) at Columbia University Middle East Research Center (CUMERC) in Amman today. The course is attended by 36 practitioners in the field of development.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the Columbia University Middle East Research Center (CUMERC) in conjunction with the Earth Institute at Columbia University and the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), held a signing ceremony for the Institute for Sustainable Development Practice on Monday December 6, 2010.

Takaful is the First Annual Conference on Philanthropy and Civic Engagement, which is jointly organized by the Columbia University Middle East Research Center (CUMERC) and the Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement at the American University of Cairo (Gerhart Center, AUC).
