In a follow-up meeting with Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah the committee, which represents women pioneers from the private and public sectors, presented a plan for sustainable programs that will address women's issues in Jordan and the Arab world.

"Our partnership initiative is a continuation and a deepening of our long-standing commitment to working with all the peoples of the Middle East to improve their daily lives and to help them face the future with hope," Powell said.

During a visit to the Zaha Mango Paediatrics Ward, Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania unveiled the Amal Cancer Centre's new name, the King Hussein Cancer Centre.

Their Majesties visited with young patients of the centre on the occasion of Ramadan and spent time with their families.

Queen Rania Participates in a Panel Discussion Organized by the Women's Leadership Initiative in New York

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - New York) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah highlighted the importance of role models for Arab women, and also reaffirmed the significance of education in dispelling misconceptions about women's rights in Islam.

As part of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in New York, Queen Rania participated in a panel discussion organized by the Women's Leadership Initiative.

She also attended the launch of the NetAid World Schoolhouse program, which aims to bring quality education to the world's poorest children.

Queen Rania Inaugurates Princess Iman Al Abdullah Center for Scientific Research at Hussein Medical City

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Iman inaugurated the opening of the Princess Iman Al-Abdullah Center for Scientific Research at the Hussein Medical City.

The Center was established upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah and falls in line with his efforts targeted towards improving the medical services in the Kingdom.

عمان - الملكة رانيا تزور المركز الإسلامي وإحدى مؤسسات رعاية الأطفال في بروكسل في إطار الزيارة التي يقوم بها جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني إلى بلجيكا قامت جلالة الملكة رانيا العبدالله اليوم بزيارة إلى المركز الإسلامي في بروكسل وذلك ضمن دورها في تعزير التبادل الثقافي بين الحضارات والحوار بين الشرق والغرب.

وفي مستهل الزيارة التقت جلالتها مع مدير وأعضاء المركز حيث استمعت إلى شرح من القائمين عليه حول نشاطاته في المجالات الثقافية والتوعوية ودورة في خدمة الجاليات الإسلامية ونشر الثقافة الإسلامية.
