(Jordan Times - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday highlighted youth unemployment and traffic accidents in the Kingdom, and urged for solutions to tackle these endemic problems.

“So that the unemployment rate in Jordan will not get any higher, we should create 80,000 work opportunities annually, that is, a job every seven minutes,” Queen Rania said yesterday during the Next Generation Conference (NGC), a gathering which examines solutions for common challenges facing youths in the Arab World.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Jordanian youth from around the Kingdom got a chance to participate in the World’s premier economic gathering when they joined Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah at a session tackling challenges facing youth in the Middle East.

This was the message behind Her Majesty Queen Rania’s opening remarks at the ¨Youth and Entrepreneurship¨ session of the World Economic Forum, on Saturday.

“My point is, the most precious aspects of youth are not tied to ages or stages.  Preserving them doesn’t mean clinging to the past – it means embracing the future,” Queen Rania said.
