Queen Rania Meets with Representatives from Charitable Associations in Wadi Al Seer
(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited today the Wadi Al Seer Women Association, one of the oldest associations in the area established in 1963. The Queen also met with board members of the Anwar Al Huda Islamic Society, and Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein Kindergarten, a project done by the Circassian Charitable Society.
During the meeting, Her Majesty was briefed by the Chairman of the Wadi Al Seer Women Association, Mrs. Bahera Zoqash, about the services they provide to local residents, which include child care programs, women empowerment projects, and in-kind and financial support for the underprivileged.
Mrs. Bahera also stressed the importance of partnerships and collaboration between women members from different societies in Wadi El Seer.
Her Majesty expressed her pride in the associations' work and achievements which is a result of partnerships made to help and support the local community, stressing that the best partnerships are those that encourage kindness and good deeds.
Also during the meeting, Chairman of the Anwar Al Huda Islamic Society, Ms. Madeeha Lamber, briefed the Queen on the different projects they implement which include a tailor’s shop, a productive kitchen, and other programs that support women, university students and poor families.
Ms. Ameera Taghoj from the Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein Kindergarten also spoke about the importance of voluntary work in the development of local communities, and building solid relations between community members as well as promoting a sense of responsibility and collaboration between citizens.
Queen Rania toured the Wadi Al Seer Women Association and checked its kindergarten which currently hosts 37 children.
Her Majesty also visited the children's club which includes 45 children and holds several activities and implements different educational programs for the kids.
