Queen Rania Attends Royal Health Awareness Society Board of Trustees Meeting
(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah attended Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) Board of Trustees meeting at the society’s headquarters in Amman Today.
Vice Chairman, Dr. Rami Farraj, gave welcoming remarks which were followed by a presentation by RHAS Director, Mrs. Enaam Barrishi about Society’s achievements and future plans.
The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) was established in 2005 under the direction of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah to promote health and to empower Jordanians to adopt healthy lifestyles and behaviors. RHAS’ community based projects are implemented in accordance with the needs of the communities and revolve around the national health priorities.
RHAS implements many programs across the Kingdom such as the Healthy Schools Accreditation Program which introduces standards for healthy school environments, thereby developing healthy lifestyles and eating habits in order to prepare children and adolescents for healthy adulthood. The Program was adopted by (RHAS) in partnership with the Jordanian Ministries of Health and Education as a national program to accredit schools which are successful in implementing the national schools health standards.
