Queen Rania Tours Heydar Aliyev Foundation

(Office of Her Majesty, Queen Rania – Baku, Azerbaijan) While accompanying His Majesty King Abdullah II on a working trip to Azerbaijan, Her Majesty Queen Rania paid a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to see their work in enhancing cross cultural dialogue in the fields of culture, science and technology, sport and education.

 First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva walked the Queen through an exhibition of the history of the foundation. The foundation, which supports the implementation of large-scale projects and programs in line with the late President Heydar Aliyev ambitions, is a non-governmental, non-commercial organization founded in 2004. The foundation arranges a series of workshops and symposia on pressing issues in Azerbaijan and abroad as well as exhibitions for young talents and artists while also focusing on the promotion of religious tolerance, support to civil society building processes and the preservation of national values.
