(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah underlined that dialogue is a vital tool that enables people to connect and reach out to each other in a spirit of common understanding, frank exchange, and goodwill.
Queen Rania’s remarks came in meetings with H.E. Ms. Mary Robinson, former UN Commissioner for Human Rights and H.E. Dr. Mervat Tellawi, ESCWA Executive Director, who addressed the opening session of the first meeting of Cross-Cultural Dialogue organised by the Jordanian Executive Committee for the Arab Women’s Summit.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with a delegation from the Michigan chapter of the American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Life for Relief, a US-based NGO working in Iraq.
The ADC, the largest Arab-American organization is devoted to promoting the interests, rights and voice of Arab-Americans.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Sahab) Accompanied by a host of colorful balloons and cheerful teddy bears, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Operation Smile’s youngest patients in Jordan to distract the children from pre-operative fears and post-operative pains.
Operation Smile, a nonprofit medical services organization, is marking its 25th anniversary by carrying out 5,000 operations through 40 simultaneous medical missions in 25 countries this month.

1) Are you working on eco-tourism projects in Jordan, and if so, what are your favorites and what makes them special?
I don’t work specifically on eco tourism, although I support the excellent work of the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN), the NGO mandated by the government to oversee the development of Jordan’s nature reserves. They’ve been given a great boost recently because the jewel in their conservation crown, Dana Nature Reserve, has won 4 international awards for sustainable ecotourism.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah launched the Jordan River Foundation’s (JRF) sustainability report, Sunday, in a meeting attended by board members and supporters. This makes the foundation the Middle East’s first non-governmental organization (NGO) to author such a report. JRF hopes this new way of transparent reporting will attract more partners and donors and help scale up their efforts to improve the quality of life and access to economic opportunities for more Jordanians.

(Jordan Times - Amman) The country’s five telecommunication companies came together under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday to sign an agreement activating a toll-free Family Support Helpline.
The agreement was signed at the Building Public-Private Partnerships to Enhance Social and Economic Development Conference held at the Dead Sea to highlight corporate social responsibility and the importance of partnerships among different sectors.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Davos) As world leaders from business, politics, academia, the media and civil society continued arriving at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah joined the Young Global Leaders (YGLs) for a briefing on their recent projects including the launch of the Global Dignity Project.
The discussion focused on the YGLs' role in using their expertise and experience in helping their local communities as well as the global community.
