Queen Rania Returns to Morocco

After their visit Queen Rania said, "In many ways, education is a 'social vaccine' for girls…it immunizes against untimely death, poverty, and unemployment and helps them build healthy, hopeful futures."

Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania in Morocco

(Jordan Times - Marrakesh) Her Majesty Queen Rania and Morocco’s First Lady Lalla Salma on Monday jointly inaugurated a newly built extension of the “Dar El Bir wa Lihsane” charity centre in Marrakesh.

During a tour of the facility, Queen Rania and Lalla Salma, accompanied by Lalla Meryem, were briefed on the activities of the centre, which offers children and young people, especially girls, the chance to receive training in different crafts, so they can integrate at a later stage with members of their local community.
