Queen Rania of Jordan is using social media to promote her charitable work, meet her subjects and chat to her children. All she wants to do now is get her fridge on Twitter.

Riz Khan (RK): Welcome back. Even one year after Israel’s attacks on Gaza the lives of young Palestinians remains severely disrupted, with a lack infrastructure and importantly proper schooling. It’s an issue that’s touched one of the leading figures in the region, a woman who’s a staunch advocate for children’s rights, I spoke with Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan about her concerns for the region’s youth in the shadow or a stalled Israeli Palestinian peace process.

Well I do feel that last year I think people were really in crisis mode, the financial crisis was still very new in peoples minds and people I think felt a little defeated, this year I felt people having reflected over the crisis are thinking more how can we fix things how can we move forward, how can we reset and redesign things so were talking more about a global redesign atmosphere.

Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan was the toast of New York last week when she jetted in for the United Nations’ Millennium Goals summit and the Clinton Global Initiative conference.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) For a child, having a small toy to play with is usually a welcomed break from homework and chores, but for thousands of underprivileged children this Ramadan, the gifts they will soon be receiving as part of the Toys of Hope initiative will be bringing immeasurable happiness and hope.

Hearing about the initiative through the many promotions created by Play 99.6 FM, a local Jordanian radio station, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah called into the station's morning show, to voice her support for the project.

(Jordan Times, Rana Husseini - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Wednesday urged motorists to drive with the utmost responsibility and to keep in mind the tragic consequences of reckless driving. 
 
The Queen made the remarks during a morning call to the popular Radio Fann show “Bisaraha Maa Al Wakil” or “Frankly with Wakil,” hosted by Mohammad Wakil.
