VEVO and 1GOAL Partner on Global Education Program

(Office of Her Majesty Press Department- Amman) FIFA President Sepp Blatter will be the co-chair of the 1GOAL campaign which aims to make global education a global reality.

The announcement was made today during a press conference held after a meeting with Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, where Blatter accepted Queen Rania’s invitation to become co-chair of the 1GOAL campaign.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Italy) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan today attended the 60th Anniversary of the San Remo Music Festival in Italy to rally support for the 1GOAL global education campaign which seeks to get 72 million out-of-school children back into the classroom in the run-up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

Speaking at the annual FIFA World Player Gala in Zurich, Switzerland, Queen Rania reiterated the importance of investing in education to give every child hope for a better life, and the opportunity to break out of cycles of poverty.
