Queen Rania Chairs National Council for Family Affairs Board Meeting
(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Chairperson of the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) Board of Trustees attended a board meeting today to discuss the Council’s future plans.
During the meeting, Her Majesty and board members were briefed on the Council’s achievements in the past year which included developing the national agenda for Child Labor, and setting professional standards for health care and social services providers, training courses to improve the skills of family counseling providers including training for all Ministry of Education councilors.
As for future plans, the Board members discussed corporate development, and the implementation of projects and initiatives that aim at improving family affairs in the Kingdom, including a strategic plan for the protection of domestic violence for the years of 2011 through 2013. NCFA also plans to develop an electronic system for tracking domestic violence and abuse cases and an accreditation center for all social service providing centers.
