Queen Rania Attends 11th Arab Open University (AOU) Board Meeting
(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Sunday attended the 11th meeting of the Arab Open University (AOU) board of trustees, where participants discussed the institution’s latest developments, including plans to build campuses in existing branches across the region.
Co-chairing the meeting, Her Majesty Queen Rania was briefed by HRH Prince Talal Bin Abdelaziz on the University’s 2009-2011 strategy.
During the meeting, the AOU board of trustees comprised of academics and businessmen from several Arab countries, also reviewed internal policies concerning scholarships awarded to outstanding students and introduced three additional Master programs in English Literature, Computer Science and Education (technology for education and educational leadership).
Established in 2002 by his HRH Prince Talal Bin Abdelaziz as an educational non-profit entity, the institution seeks to attract a greater number of students in Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Oman by expanding its grounds.
